Dear %%First Name%%
First
home buyer benefits
There
are generous government grants and stamp duty concessions available for first
home buyers. This is great news for first home buyers as the
grants can be used to cover some of the costs involved in purchasing your first
home or even go towards the deposit on your home.
First Home Buyer Grant
As a first home buyer you may be entitled to what is known as the First Home
Buyer Grant. In addition, if you have purchased or will purchase your first
home between 14/10/08 and 31/12/09 you may be entitled to the First Home Buyer
Boost.
Altogether the federal government has on offer up to $21,000 if you purchase
a newly constructed home or build a new home and $14,000 for the purchase of
established homes. This can be used towards the costs of purchasing your first
home or even as part of the deposit for the purchase. The exact amounts available
will vary slightly from state to state and will also depend on the timing of
your purchase. We can help you with the application process to access the benefits
available to you, so please ask us about this.
Government stamp duty
All state governments charge stamp duty on the transfer of property and the
amount will vary from state to state. The good news is that as a first
home buyer every state in Australia offers first home buyers some form of bonus
or rebate on stamp duty which translates into huge savings for you.
As the amount payable will depend on the eligibility requirements and value
of the home you are purchasing we can discuss this cost with you personally
in greater detail.
Our next part of the course will list the various costs involved in the purchase
of your first home. The first home buyer benefits can go a long way to
covering some if not all of these costs so take advantage of what is available
to you and give us a call to discuss your eligibility.
Until next time... |
